The Virtual Camino

The Focus Ireland Virtual Camino

Throughout 2022, Focus Ireland has been working tirelessly to help those who are experiencing homelessness in Ireland. With the latest figures showing an increase in the number of people who are homeless, their work is needed now more than ever.

In fact, the number of people who are homeless in Ireland has reached a record high. There are currently 11,542 people experiencing homelessness in Ireland, including 1,601 families and 3,480 children.

To kick off the new year, Focus Ireland would like to invite you to take part in the Virtual Camino 2023. Join them this January and February, get active and immerse yourself in the Camino culture by taking part in the Virtual Camino 2023.

What is the Virtual Camino?

The Virtual Camino is a five-week long interactive and virtual walk. Focus Ireland wants you to walk the final stage of the Camino de Santiago, 114km from Sarria to Santiago, over January and February all while raising funds for the charity. As you track your walking distance and reach your fundraising goals, you will receive walking notes and updates about the towns you are approaching and collect stamps just like the real Camino! Read more about the Virtual Camino here.

Once you have completed the Virtual Camino and have reached your fundraising goal, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Focus Ireland.
