Monday, May 1st, 2017
As you know on the Wales June Weekend we are planning to climb Mt. Snowdon (1085M), the highest Mountain in Snowdonia National Park, Wales over the June Bank Holiday weekend. (There is also a train to the summit!).
We are going to take the Ferry from Dublin Port to Holyhead on Friday 2nd June & returning from Holyhead to Dublin Port on Monday 5th June.
We will be staying in Llanberis village which is 30 miles/50km from Holyhead.
B&B’s there are quoting Stg £110 (€127) p/person sharing for 3 nights bed & breakfast.
Llanberis is Snowdon’s village and the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park.
The cost for travelling & accommodation is €300 approx per person. (This does not include meals & lunches etc.).
One car on the Ferry costs €560 approx. (4 people in a car – €140 per person).
So far, we have booked 3 cars -12 places- on the Ferry.
To secure your place in a car for the Ferry for the Wales June Weekend you will need to pay €100 deposit.
This deposit is non-refundable unless you can get somebody else to take your place in the car.
We will book more cars on the Ferry depending on demand from members.
We will be taking the deposit for the Ferry in Counihan’s pub on Wednesday 3rd May from 9pm.
