Friday 09/02/2018 and Thursday 15/02/2018
BELFAST – Friday 9th FEB 2018 – Errigle Inn, 312-320 Ormeau Rd, Belfast BT7 2GE
Ricky Bell is an Irish Climber who for the last decade has pushed the standards in boldness and difficulty of Irish Rock Climbing. Ricky is without doubt the biggest name on the Irish climbing circuit. He was brought up by parents who saw the value of outdoor activity and was climbing on a regular basis from the age of ten. He was so taken by the sport that his father built a wooden climbing wall in the family’s garden.
Today Ricky is best known as a trad climber and is renowned for opening some of the most exciting routes in Ireland. He has travelled the world to pursue his passion for the sport and has climbed in countries including France and Spain. Last year he spent five months climbing in Tennessee, the USA.
As part of our lecture series and with support from the Belfast Climbing Club and Cork Climbing Club he will be giving a fun and exciting talk about some of the lines both in Ireland and abroad that have inspired him.
All are welcome to attend and we hope that you can make it.
