The Cork Backpackers Hill Walking Club is one of the main hiking and mountaineering clubs in the Cork area having been established in 1982. The club is based in Cork City and goes hiking every second Sunday.

New Walkers are welcome to join us for a trial hill walk by signing up online or in person at Counihan's Pub, Pembroke Street, Cork on Wednesday’s from 9.00pm.

Sign Up & Social Nights: The Club meets in Counihan's Pub, Pembroke Street, Cork on the Wednesday night before the Sunday walk from 9:00 p.m. onwards. All are welcome.

Hillwalking Meeting Point: The Meeting Point on Sundays for walks is at no. 12, South Mall (opposite the Imperial Hotel). The meeting time is 8.45am and departure at 9.00am sharp.
