BANFF Mountain Film Festival coming to Cork
The Banff Mountain Film Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world. The “mothership” festival has been held at the start of November each year since 1975 in Banff, Canada. The festival draws some of the world’s best film makers and accomplished outdoor heroes to celebrate adventure, the environment, mountain culture and the outdoors through film.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour returns to the UK and Ireland in early 2016 with a brand new collection of the world’s best mountain climbing and adventure films! Get ready to experience pure exhilaration through the big screen – and a full face of snow, sweat and high altitude action and adventure!
The 2016 Tour will feature the latest and best films from the world’s most prestigious mountain film festival and include two unique and entirely different film programmes – the RED film programme and the BLUE film programme. In Cork the Red programme of films will be shown.
